Fall Fashion 2014

I finally shot our Fall Fashion two weeks ago and I'm glad I did it so early.   Although I wished we could get samples from designer earlier it all worked out at the end.

All of the vendors/stores we worked with were so great at getting us what needed in order to make the shoot successful.

The shoot was in New Smyrna which was a good hour drive but it was all worth it.   Our location was amazing! A hidden gem in a middle of a residential area- the Atlantic Center for the Arts.  It's a unknown place for most of us but yet a jewel known by several artist around the world.

I had every "it bag" and "must haves" on set. It was so exciting to see how much fashion repeats itself but yet always offers something new. My favorite pieces were a quilted chain bag by ysl , a Prada satchel and a fabulous Alexander McQueen dress I found at Neiman Marcus.

The Fall Fashion issue comes out on September 1st and I can't wait for you all to see it!

What I wore to a graduation

I haven't posted in a while and I seriously need to catch up!

Here's what I wore to a graduation May 21 for one of my favorite girls. She's my client's daughter and I've seen her blossom into a beautiful young woman inside out.

I opted to get a gift card from Vera Bradley which was a perfect choice for a high school grad heading to FSU.

I wore a stripe midi dress from Zara and some super comfy white pumps from Anne Klein I bought at Macys 2 years ago.

What I wore for my TV interview

I was a guest on a show called Journey today. I wanted to wear all black because everyone always says that the camera makes you 10 pounds heavier :)

I thought a hot skirt and a black tank can never fail! And I was right, the outfit was both slimming and flattering.

Judge for yourself.  Your feedbacks would be greatly appreciated.

Tank top and skirt both from Zara, shoes
Christian Louboutin. David Yurman bracelet and ring, Hermes Clic Clac bracelet.

Fashionably yours,

Marianne

Photoshoot last weekend

This past weekend I had the pleasure to work with one my favorite agency- BMG Models.  The crew flew in from Chicago and we had some great fashion girls/guys to shoot for their books.

Last week I also just happened to shoot Street Style Fashion with one of BMG top girls Mariah V.

Needless to say that last week was a fashion styling bliss!!

Street Style Summer Fashion!

As a Style editor my goal is to always provide my readers with fashion content that's relevant to their lifestyle.  Although I  feel like styling these "fantasy high fashion" looks could be a ton of fun, I have to set some limits.

This past time our creative team and I came up with the idea of street style fashion. So I thought to myself maybe I could push the envelope a little bit- the result was just fantastic!

Chanel espadrilles finally!!

So I finally got my Chanel espadrilles!! I knew I had to get for the summer but I was still not sure if I wanted leather or cotton.
Although the leather feels like butter I was not sold on the idea of wearing leather espadrilles.  I settled on the pink ones and I'm very happy with them.

The birthday celebration continues...

Stay stylish!

MTV Movie Award 2014

The 2014 MTV Movie Award was very entertaining this year and the red carpet did not dissapoint either.

First up is Shailene Woodley Hollywood's new IT GIRL. She wore a forest green leather skirt and leather crop top from Balmain Pre fall collection.

Then came Lupita Nyongo in Chanel !! She was stunning and those colors really complimented her skin tone. I just love her style!

Everybody else looked good but nothing that I have not seen before. These stylists really need to get more creative, IJS :-)

Stay stylish!

Bday week

I got an "orange box" and got my hair done for my birthday. As the years go by I realize how simple I need to keep things and how grateful I need to be.  I've been able to accomplish so much in just a few years. I can't wait to see what else God has in store for me.

Stay stylish!

PS What do you think about my new lipstick? Candy yum yum by MAC available at Nordstrom.

I styled Spring fashion two months ago and this was a just a creative editorial shoot to showcase some of Springs hottest trends with a little more "swag".

My model was absolutely gorgeous and her personality was totally right up my alley!! I love it when people have positive energy on set.

This issue comes out May first and I can't wait!!

I attended the Art Of Fashion at Neiman Marcus last week and had a ball!! Very excited to hear that the new Dr Philips Performing Art Center was going to be ready in November.

Neiman Marcus made a generous donation of  $125000 and presented a fabulous fashion show with some of Spring's hottest trends.

I wore a Forever21 sleeveless sweatshirt, a white Zara pencil skirt and white cap toe pumps by Anne Klein.

My trip to NYC

I was called in last minute to work on a few models I styled about 3 years ago that needed to update their books. You can only imagine the excitement!!

I flew in on a Friday morning and spent most of the afternoon discussing looks and target clients for these fabulous girls who I know are going to make it big.

It was freezing and snowing!! But as you all know the show must go on. I borrowed my husband's coat and sweaters to keep me warm.

I'm very happy with the way the pictures turned out and I can't wait to see these girls get more work. I know in my heart that the looks I've created will take them to the next level.

Here are a few behind the scene pictures I hope you will enjoy.

Outfit of the day

I had an early morning meeting before taking my kids to Disney so I had to be a fashionista in the am then get back to mommy mode in my workout clothes.
BCBG is always my go to brand for trendy but chic looks. I love this white button down shirt that's full of details and so feminine. I paired it with a leather pleated skirt , also by BCBG and these fabulous t-strap sandals from Zara.

Outfit of the day

Today I'm wearing all my favorite pieces. A Bebe jacket I bought back in 2000 when I first started working in Beverly Hills.
The Bebe store on Beverly Drive was doing a killing!!! They were on top of their game at that time. I just knew I would have that jacket for years to come.  I wear it with everything skirts, dresses, jeans, etc.. I even throw it over my shoulder with evening or cocktail attire.

My tank top is from the Isabel Marant for H&M -it's by far the best tank ever!! It's long, it has a racerback and it's not fitted.

The loafers are from Louis Vuitton and it was love at first sight when I first saw them!! They came in 3 colors and I wanted the navy at first but they were sold out so I had to settle for black which was actually a perfecf addition to my wardrobe.
The Chanel tote was on my list for a few years and my husband finally gifted it to me for Christmas.  He totally scored.  He remembered that I told him I needed a size Large, gold hardware, in the Caviar skin because it's scratch resistant!! Loool! Well almost...

The Versace store opening

I was invited to attend the grand opening of the Versace store at the mall at millenia.  There was a mini fashion showcasing the spring/summer 2014 collection which was absolutely fab and glam!! I dont think there's a better line out there that really fits Florida the way Versace does!!  The colors were bright and flashy.
The B.I.G. sunglasses were back in the collection and now considered vintage. The "versace yellow" is like no other!! As loud as it is, it still exudes glam and class.  My favorite piece was the "Donatella Versace Coat" so easy to wear and truly a staple for a fashionista not afraid to wear color!
The shoes were out of control!! Medusas and gold everywhere. The most exciting ones were the triple platform which made the models legs look miles long.  Fun times...

Spring Fashion Photoshoot

I finally shot spring 2014 fashion yesterday and I had a blast!! My favorite trends this season are: metallics, pastels, fringes, pink, black and white, prints and blues. It was kind of hard to decide what to shoot since I had so much I wanted to feature. But once again the #olteammag pulled it off, 8 pages later I can honestly say we rocked it!!

Here are some BTS pics I can share for now.   This issue comes out March 1 be sure to pick up a copy at Publix, Barnes and Noble or your local bookstore.
