Plum looks great with black,charcoal grey, and chocolate brown. Also don't hesitate to wear it with animal print, black lace or metallics like gold.

"It" handbag of the season: The cross body

Whether your look is classic or very casual the cross body handbag is a great bag to have.It's very easy to transition into more of a feminine chic look by just carrying it on the shoulder instead of across the body. Almost all the designers made one this season. I picked up this really nice one at Saks Florida Mall it's by Michael Kors-who I absolutely love! The model is wearing more of a casual chic outfit and the bag just adds the perfect touch. She is wearing some Prada ankle plaid ankle pants, a green knit vest by Piazza Sempione, a print long sleeve top by Piazza Sempione, and her jewelry is by Herve Van Straeten at Neiman Marcus and Coralia Leets in Winter Park. Her shoes are from Lucky Brand who surprisingly has some amazing comfortable shoes.

Fall Fashion Trends 2011

Summer is almost over and here comes Fall! I've been MIA mainly due to several events and traveling all over the country. I will post some pictures soon. Let's talk Fall now, I've taken the time to create a list of my favorite for the upcoming season.

Top trends for Fall 2011

Shoes: Pumps,high heel loafers, animal print platforms, equestrian boots and lace up open toe booties.

Colors: Wine red better known as Bordeaux, purple, berry, mauve and plum

Fur: faux fur vests, fur jackets, and fur details on shoes/handbags

Texture: gold shimmer,silver metallics, tweed and lace

Feminine looks with menswear influence: Plaid skirt suits, herringbone pant suit, and pine stripe suit.

Hand-held bags: oversized, satchels, and totes

Bold jewelry: statement rings, oversize earrings, and heavy gold necklaces

Eco Friendly Fashion

Fashionistas all over the world are becoming more eco-friendly. It's very refreshing to see that designers are becoming more aware of the impact fashion has on the world's eco-system. If we all made the right choice we could make a huge difference. I'm not by any means suggesting that we are all wearing eco-friendly/organic fashion but making sure we support people like Eileen Fisher,Toms and John Hardy could really help make the world a better place.

Trend Report: Polka Dots

Polka dots are making a come back. This famous print from the 50's and 60's is a fabulous retro look. All you need is a pair of patent pump shoes and a bright red lipstick, et voila!
